Tomato on homemade coleslaw and cheese!

image

Meat-free lifestyle is difficult for me, but I can do a meal without meat 🙂

Since our fridge is broken (freezer’s working though, weird) and techs gonna fix it some time today, I decided to use all the veggies left in it and make a vegan sandwich since I’m hungry!

Recipe for: Tomato on a hill of coleslaw and cheese sandwich!

Homemade coleslaw: 1/2 shredded cabbage, onions, 1cup mayo, 2cloves minced garlic, olive oil, 1tbsp vinegar, pepper, cheese (go for it)

Sandwich: toast 2 breads with thick slices of cheese with tomato and onions on top.

After toasting put a mountain of coleslaw on top of the toast and top it again with tomato slices and onions!

Bon appetit!

Tips when jogging: #10

Never put money in your sock or shoe! It will slip in, then out to who-knows-where while you’re running!

So. I’ve been running for years, I go on light runs whenever I get the urge to, but today I ran late at 6 in the evening in an unfamiliar trail, I know that it’s a long route but I’m unfamiliar with the area so I brought a small bill with me just in case i needed it.

It was late and as usual, I was alone, so I didnt bring my phone or a music player and told myself to focus on just running!

Bottomline I didnt bring anything else with me and the only area I can slip a bill (for when i decided to take a cab home) in was my sock, when I got home it was gone.. boo. I hope whoever found it used it well. Sigh~ That’s that, I think it happened to me before but I forgot that dumb experience, will never do it again!

Smoothies!

So, Yoga, exercise and healthy eating are fun, but I’ve been drowning myself with pearl shakes, pearl teas, milk teas, pearl milk teas from various establishments, I can’t help myself, it’s like every time i pass the stores the large plastic tumblers are calling me and in a trance, i go to them and buy the biggest, sweetest one with additional pearls! as if fraps and cappuccinos aren’t enough. sigh. so this year I’m (not ditching them but..) opting for a healthier alternative! planning on replacing the blender and juicer with a more easy-to-use version so i can make these smoothie recipes whenever i want/need and not worry about cleaning up!!

I’m sharing these recipes I found on http://www.fitnessmagazine.com, seriously, healthy drinks are a must but it’s healthier if we make them instead of buying overpriced ones.

“Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters Official Teaser #1 (2014) – Olga Kurylenko Movie HD” on YouTube

Wow. Screenwriters are really, really getting themselves busy huh? First ‘the mortal instruments’ and now Vampire Academy. But honestly though, I’m not complaining, it’s every author’s dream to be movie-fied, it’s good publicity and they reach out to people who don’t really read often.

The tricky part is that most of the time books/novels/manga/comics which are turned into films get ruined. The film version tends to ‘Shatter the Illusion’ if not done right!

I call it: shooting the magic out of the book.

Film adaptations tend to smell like- Money. While the reason the novels became bestsellers was because of the heart.

Hey now, there are amazingly awesome, off-the-roof adaptations: HP, LOTR, Hunger Games even Twilight were translated to film wonderfully, but there are times when scriptwriters run ouy of fuel and producers have to to bestsellers for possible plots! And that’s when everything gets ruined.

This year I am looking forward to watching two movies!

One originally a Manga adapted into an Anime and now turned into a Movie the for the second time: Rurouni Kenshin!

Second is the one mention above, Vampirr Academy, the novel was introduced to me by my little sister, she told me it’s like Vampire Knight (which Ive been proudly a fan of for 10 years- i am a dork, wow) and nothing like that other vampire movie- which is true since Rose Hathaway is kickass, badass and all around fatale.

But wow, I wonder how scriptwriters earn the big bucka through this..

That aside, I was a happy reader reading the stories on paper/tablet, very happy and inspired! Books, Manga & Comic Books do that to me, just wish the movie would be worth it, I mean, yep.
